Review of Cinder by Marissa Meyer

Humans and androids crowd the raucous streets of New Beijing. A deadly plague ravages the population. From space, the ruthless lunar people watch, waiting to make their move. No one knows that Earth’s fate hinges on one girl. . . .

Cinder, a gifted mechanic, is a cyborg. She’s a second-class citizen with a mysterious past, reviled by her stepmother and blamed for her stepsister’s illness. But when her life becomes intertwined with the handsome Prince Kai’s, she suddenly finds herself at the center of an intergalactic struggle, and a forbidden attraction. Caught between duty and freedom, loyalty and betrayal, she must uncover secrets about her past in order to protect her world’s future. WOW- is all I can say*** I have been after this book for so long, and once I was able to finally purchase it on Amazon- something came up and I had to cancel my order.... I was so sad- Then one day my best friend had a package sent to me and I opened it only to find a hardcover copy of Cinder by Marissa Meyer sitting in my hands. (of course I did a dance) It took me three days to read this book and Cinder lived up to the standards created in my mind- I loved it. I will Pre-Order the second in the series without hesitation. I can't wait~ This is a fantastic start to a great series- the characters well developed a great plot unfolding (although it was predictable) it still makes for a fantastic retelling of Cinderella* (I mean how much cooler can you get other than a cyborg Cinderella) I recommend this story to everyone- no doubt you will love it. 5 Stars- Favorite of 2012- Thank You~ Sunni for this AWESOME gift :) Reesa***
