Review of Poison Tree by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes

The rich stew of the author's creations—SingleEarth, vampires, shapeshifters, Tristes, the Bruja Guilds—are at full boil here in the story of two 20-ish young women trying to out run their very different pasts, and figure out where they fit in and who they might become. Each has landed in a more "normal" place, and each wonders if, like a tattoo that can't be covered up, they can ever really fit into "normal.    Rating 4-stars I enjoyed this book a whole lot- can't say it is an all time favorite- but worth the read... I was a little confused with the characters and the plot.  I'm not sure if it was simply because I read most of this book while at work so there were interruptions- or that it was a little confusing. The ending was great and the cover is beautiful- I will pick up more from this author in the future- I loved her writing style! This was a quick read and a well rounded book- just the right amount of action, romance. and mystery.  If your looking for a quick paranormal read this one makes a nice addition to your collection. I was so sad- Then one day my best friend had a package sent to me and I opened it only to find a hardcover copy of Cinder by Marissa Meyer sitting in my hands. (of course I did a dance) It took me three days to read this book and Cinder lived up to the standards created in my mind- I loved it. I will Pre-Order the second in the series without hesitation. I can't wait~ This is a fantastic start to a great series- the characters well developed a great plot unfolding (although it was predictable) it still makes for a fantastic retelling of Cinderella* (I mean how much cooler can you get other than a cyborg Cinderella) I recommend this story to everyone- no doubt you will love it. 5 Stars- Favorite of 2012- Thank You~ Sunni for this AWESOME gift :) Reesa***

This book was amazing*** What Happened to My Sister makes me re-think all of my previous 5 star reviews. I have never been abused as a child, but I almost feel like I have now in a sense which is how amazing Elizabeth's writing is. There were some typos throughout the book but this was an uncorrected proof- The writing made you feel like you were walking in the shoes of this nine-year-old girl. Throughout this novel~ I laughed, cringed, and wanted to cry at times. Favorite of 2012- You won't be able to put this one down- Eye opener and movie material- I will be on the lookout for more stories from Elizabeth Flock and pick them up without hesitation.

Oddily by Linda Pohring*** Book for Review- Contest Winner- Review Posted

I enjoyed this story- however their were a couple small things that bugged me, but not enough to discourage my 5-star rating*** The writing was simple at times~ and about 3/4 way through~ I almost began to get annoyed with the main character- Oddily - but in the end Oddily got it together. (I was beginning to think she was always going to feel sorry for herself) Overall this was a great story and I would recommend as a great read and also a quick/fun summer read. I was hooked in the story from the first page wondering what was going to happen to Oddily and where this story was leading. I'm so happy to have been a part of reading Oddily by Linda Pohring. (I will be ordering the second in the series Maxim) I plan on continuing on with this series until it's finished. It seems the second book is where all the excitement will happen* and this series will take off. I loved this book~ Would like to see this one made into a movie for the big-screen. I had a hard time putting this one down and finished this book in two days or so- I've added this one to my favorites shelf on goodreads. Great writing from Jill Williamson. Review of Green Light Delivery by Anne E. Johnson

Webrid is a carter, like his mother and grandfather before him. It’s not glamorous work, but it mostly pays the bills, and it gives him time to ogle the sexy women on the streets of Bexilla’s capital. Mostly, he buys and sells small goods and does the occasional transport run for a client.

Then he gets mugged by a robot.

Now, with a strange green laser implanted in his skull and a small fortune deposited in his bank account, Webrid has to make the most difficult delivery of his life. He doesn’t know who his client is, or what he’s carrying, but he knows that a whole lot of very dangerous people are extremely interested in what’s in his head. Literally. And they’ll do whatever it takes to get it.

With the help of some truly alien friends, a simple carter will journey across worlds to deliver his cargo. And hopefully keep his head in the process.

I was not too sure I would like this book, but I found myself captured right away with these creatures descriptions from the very beginning. I rated the book five stars~ I found myself wanting to know more and more about Webrid's journey. In the end- I was happy with the book the ending was a bit different than I was expecting. It was light hearted~ I would recommend this book to everyone looking for a fun~ light~ summer read! Anne E. Johnson did a great job with the character descriptions painting a awesome visual for readers. I did have a hard time putting this book down*** The main character is very likable and this is one of my favorites for 2012. Thanks~
